Craig Biggio picked up another hit in the Houston Astros' 9-4 defeat of the Seattle Mariners.

Biggio has 11 hit to go to reach 3000.

BIGGIO WAS NAMED THE GATORADE PLAYER OF THE GAME due to his three run homer in the second inning.

Craig Biggio had another multi-hit game as the Houston Astros downed the Seattle Mariners 5-1 at Minute Maid Park.

Biggio went 3-5, raising his career hit total to 2988. His performance tonight's passed Sam Rice for total career hits Next on the list is former Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Roberto Clemente in 26th place with 3000 hits.
