April 7: St. Louis Cardinals-1 Hit, 2936 Total Hits

The Astros won their first game of the 2007 season, defeating he St. Louis Cardinals 5-1 in the second game of a three game series. The Astros are now 1-4 for the season.

Craig Biggio got hit number 2936 of hit career on a ground rule double in the second inning.

Biggio lead off the first inning, popping out to first baseman Albert Pujois.

He took seven pitches.

In his second at bat in the bottom of the 2nd inning, he got hit number 2936 of his career off a ground rule double, hitting the wall just below the home run line in deep center field.

His third at bat was in the bottom of the fifth inning. He flies out to center fielder Jim Edmonds.
